A Winter Market at the Quarry

A Winter Market at the Quarry

Skip Black Friday and Step Into Something More Meaningful

This year, skip the chaos of Black Friday and step into something more meaningful.

We’re transforming The Quarry into a multi-building Winter Market — part indoor, part outdoor — inspired by European-style holiday markets and grounded in Spokane Valley’s community values. Expect warm drinks, seasonal flavors, handcrafted goods and local makers activated across multiple spaces.

Unlike many winter markets that are entirely outdoors, this one stretches across heated buildings and select outdoor areas, so you can enjoy the full experience regardless of the weather.

🎅 Holiday Highlights

• Photos with the Legendary Spokane St. Nick — $20
He is a beloved local figure known for bringing genuine holiday spirit to families year after year. This season, we’re inviting him to help launch a new tradition at The Scale House Market.

📸 Saturday 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
📸 Sunday 11:00 AM–3:00 PM

• Mini “Charlie Brown” Christmas Trees — $10 minimum donation
Take home a small, charmingly imperfect tree destined to become a holiday favorite. We have 300 available, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

All proceeds help fund the ongoing build-out and educational programs at Scale House Market, including:

  • Food and agriculture skill development
  • Food waste prevention initiatives
  • Local food security efforts
  • Small business support for regional makers

Your tree supports community growth well beyond the holiday season.

🎶 Live Music All Weekend

Enjoy local musicians performing throughout The Quarry:

Saturday

  • John Wayne Williams — 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Jacob Grove (Yo-Yo from Yo-Yo, Ma and The Suzuki Kid) — 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Strawberry Crush — 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Sunday

  • Jacob Grove — 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
  • Daniel Hall — 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

🛍 What to Expect

• Local vendors and artisans across multiple buildings
• Farm-fresh winter produce
• Handmade gifts and regional products
• Seasonal food and warm beverages
• Live demonstrations and culinary features
• Indoor spaces to relax and shop with intention

Unlike the rush and overwhelm of big-box Black Friday, this is a place to slow down, connect and support the people who live, work and create right here in our region.

Bundle up. Bring a friend. Spend the weekend with us and celebrate the season the way Spokane does best — with good food, great local talent and community at the center.
