A Year of Building Community at Scale House Market

A Year of Building Community at Scale House Market

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you.

Scale House Market officially opened its doors just seven months ago, and what has happened since then has been nothing short of remarkable. What began as a vision for a food- and agriculture-focused marketplace has quickly grown into a gathering place shaped by community support, shared values, and a commitment to local producers.

In our first seven months, together we have:

Welcomed more than 50,000 community members through our doors
Supported 125+ local farmers, makers, and food producers
Processed over $1.2 million in retail sales, strengthening the regional food economy
Hosted 35+ classes, workshops, and events focused on food, skills, and connection

These numbers matter, but what matters more is what they represent. Every visit, every purchase, every class attended reflects a growing community choosing to support local food systems, small businesses, and a shared vision for something better.

More Than a Seasonal Market

While many people first discovered Scale House Market through our outdoor and seasonal events, the heart of this space lives on year-round. The Mercantile remains open five days a week, stocked with local food, fresh produce, meat and seafood, pantry staples, books, and thoughtfully made goods from regional producers.

As we move into the new year, our focus remains clear:
expanding education opportunities,
deepening support for farmers and producers,
and continuing to grow Scale House Market as a year-round regional resource.

From Kids in the Kitchen classes to workshops, hot food service, special markets, and everyday shopping, this space continues to evolve alongside the community it serves.

Looking Ahead

The support we’ve received in our first year has laid a strong foundation for what’s next. We’re excited to keep building, learning, and growing together in the year ahead, with more programming, more opportunities to connect, and more ways to support local food and agriculture.

Thank you to every farmer, maker, customer, educator, and partner who has believed in this work from the beginning. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in Scale House Market.

We’re just getting started.
