Do you accept EBT/SNAP?
Yes! If you are an EBT/SNAP customer, you will need to come to the Information Booth or main register in the mercantile to load a EBT/SNAP redeemable card for the market. Please see “Food Access at The Scale House Market” for more information on currencies and incentive programs.
Do you accept WIC/Senior FMNP Benefits?
Yes! The WIC/Senior program has transitioned to using cards and QR codes. Each farmer that can accept WIC/Senior benefits will have this sign affixed to their booth. Please see “Food Access at The Scale House Market” for more information on currencies and incentive programs.
Does your market do SNAP Market Match?
No, we are not participants in the SNAP Market Match program. However, we are piloting a Snap Produce Rewards program, reimbursing EBT/SNAP participants up to $50 a month when purchasing produce from a participating farmer. Each vendor that participates in this matching fund program will have this sign in their booth. Please see “Food Access at The Scale House Market” for more information on currencies and incentive programs.
Are there children’s activities at the market?
Yes, we are developing an enriching curriculum that will help children connect with the local environment, conservation, agriculture, and entrepreneurship! We also will have the Spokane County Library District on site many market days. Additionally, stay connected with our “events” page to sign up for Kids in the Kitchen classes and events!
Do you allow pets?
While we all love our animals, please note that only trained service animals are permitted at this location. The Quarry is home to a variety of local wildlife—including marmots, birds of prey, and other sensitive species—and we aim to protect this natural environment. We also host food-focused events and share our campus with a preschool, making safety a top priority for everyone involved.
For the well-being of all—wildlife, guests, children, and your furry companions—please ensure that pets, comfort animals, and emotional support animals remain at home.
